GOING HOME • LABRADOR RETRIEVERS
Going home with your Lab.
What to know as you get ready to bring your Wranglin Farms Labrador Retriever puppy home.
Your health guarantee
All parents are health tested, and all puppies come with a 2-year health guarantee.
Puppy food
When your puppy goes home, they’ll be eating Life’s Abundance Large Breed Puppy. You can get Large Breed Puppy or All Life Stages.
Life’s Abundance is a wholesome, nourishing dog food, formulated to give dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages a healthy and satisfying diet. We highly recommend this brand because it’s produced by two world-renowned veterinarians. It’s made and delivered to customers within 45 to 60 days, instead of sitting in warehouses like other brands’ food. They have never had a recall, and should one ever occur, their scan-and-send system lets them know exactly where every bag has been delivered.
- Please order at least one 20 lb bag 1 week before your puppy goes home.
- You can opt for a larger bag. Shipping is the same price regardless of bag size, so we recommend getting more to avoid extra shipping charges.
Nu-Vet vitamins
Nu-Vet Plus K9 Wafers are a vitamin made specifically for your new family member. This vitamin is important because it helps your puppy better absorb the nutrients from their food, and helps them absorb the vaccinations they’ll be receiving. It also helps aid proper growth and bone development.
As part of our contract, we require all our puppies to be on this vitamin for their first two years.

When your puppy goes home, they’ll have already received a 5-way vaccination at 7 weeks of age. Once your puppy is home, they’ll need:
- A 5-way vaccine at 10 weeks, 14 weeks, and 18 weeks
- A rabies vaccination at 20 weeks (recommended)
Spay/neuter requirements
Research has found that early spay/neuter can lead to hip dysplasia, ligament tears, and a weakened bladder. Based on this research, we require that you don’t spay or neuter your new puppy until after 18 months of age.
Lifetime microchip registration
All puppies leave our farm microchipped. We do not allow any puppy to leave without a microchip.
The lifetime registration is $50, paid by the buyer. You’ll receive a microchip certificate that lets you create your own account, so you can update your information at any time for the lifetime of the dog.
