THE PROCESS • AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERDS

Bringing home your Aussie.

Here’s how bringing home a Wranglin Farms Australian Shepherd puppy works, from your first visit to the day your puppy comes home.

01

Visiting puppies in Wittmann, AZ

Visitors are welcome once puppies are 5.5 weeks old, and an appointment is required to view a litter. To help protect young puppies from viruses, we ask that you:

  • Don’t visit any other facilities, pet stores, or feed stores before arriving at our home.
  • Disinfect your shoes when you arrive, before entry.
  • Leave your current pets at home. Pets can’t visit our puppies at any time.

We happily welcome children to meet the puppies. We just ask that you keep a close eye on them.

02

Place your deposit

Ready to secure your new family member? A $500 non-refundable deposit and a signed deposit contract are required to secure your puppy. We accept Venmo, Zelle, cash, or check. Checks are accepted for the deposit only.

03

Get your puppy pick

Once you place your deposit, it secures your pick for that color and sex. Picks are first come, first served, based on when we receive your executed contract and deposit.

04

Select your puppy

Puppy selection happens at 6 to 6.5 weeks, unless it’s already been done by photos. When you arrive to select your puppy, you’ll be taken into our exercise yard or our home with the available puppies. We give each family about 45 minutes to an hour to play with the puppies and make the best choice for their family.

05

Going home

Puppies don’t leave us before 8 weeks of age. Meeting and pickup are in Wittmann, AZ, or at another arranged place. Please plan on 45 minutes to an hour at pickup to complete the paperwork and ask any questions you have.

Your new family member goes home with a puppy starter kit: a stuffed animal, a chew toy, and a blanket that smells like their littermates.
